Let’s be honest, staring at your screen all day sucks. We get it. So here a chance to step away and embark on a mini-adventure filled with creative thinking. Shut your laptop and explore the world around you. Stir up some dust on the shelves, dissect the bathroom, then get lost in your junk drawer. Do this until an object stands out to you.

Now forget everything you know about that object. The microwave doesn’t heat up mac and cheese, your camera doesn’t run on batteries, and spatulas don’t belong in the kitchen. Observe your object again, but this time with a fresh set of eyes and see what else you can imagine.

We are challenging you to take an ordinary item in your home and reimagine what it is, how it works, and what it can do. Push yourself to see the magnificent in the mundane or stupid in the stupendous – as long as you are thinking creatively, you’re doing it right. 

Use whatever means necessary to get those ideas out of your head and into our inbox.
